About
One lawyer, start to finish.
Dana Whitlock has practised in Providence since 2011, first for employers and landlords, and since 2017 for the people on the other side of the letter.

I spent six years at a large firm acting for employers and landlords. I learned how those cases are run, and how often the other side settles when someone competent writes back.
In 2017 I opened this office to be that someone, for the people on the receiving end: the employee with a severance letter, the tenant with a notice, the shop owner with an unpaid invoice.
It is a small practice on purpose. I take every first call myself, I write the letters, and if a matter goes to a hearing I am the one standing up. A paralegal helps with filing. Nobody else touches your file.

Every letter of advice ends with what I would do in your place, in one paragraph, without Latin.

The person you speak to on the first call is the person who runs your matter and, if needed, argues it.

Tell me what happened.
I will say where you stand.
